Here's what has been happening the past couple of days when I check in on Automaticwasher.....

I'm running Internet Explorer (don't know what version) on Windows 10. Something else you might need to know is that I have to click the ActiveX Filtering button on the "safety" thingy, or everything freezes up, and I have to use Task Manager to shut down IE.

OK, that being put out there - here's what's going on. I start out at Vacuumland, check the forums, then use the AW button on there to get to here. When I do that, look what shows up in that rectangle below the AW controls. (See screen shot)

I don't know if this is a concern or it's just my system. The Vacuumland buttons DO NOT work when they show up here on AW in the rectangle.

Just thought you - Robert, (AKA Website Wizard Genius) might want to see this phenominimm, eh, fenominome,........... situation.

Me Thinks

Internet Explorer gone done exploded again...

If you're comfortable with the idea, I would suggest installing a "real" internet browser like Google Chrome or Firefox, Pale-Moon or Sea-Monkey.

Not necessarily in that order, I know some dislike the way Google has trashed conventional UI design with Chrome, or the rumored data-collection.
Firefox, too, has abandoned a conventional UI - that leaves Sea-Monkey or Pale-Moon (both are essentially Firefox, with different interfaces), which seem to me like the lesser of all the evils.

Funnily enough, I browse with the NoScript add-on on SeaMonkey (Mac OS X 10.6.8), and even that hasn't managed to butcher a webpage in quite the way you've demonstrated IE...

I started experiencing a whole bunch of gremlins with IE as well a year or so ago that I couldn't get around so I switched to chrome and have had much better luck. It used to work really well.  Now I'm getting messages that chrome updates will soon not be available for my windows vista as MS is no longer supporting it.  But so far so good.

Thanks Rick, that is just you most likely as it looks like a browser issue. I haven't had anyone report anything like that.

Firefox will take over your home if you let it. I think of it as the kudzu of systems so I choose between it one day and IE the next. Firefox also has a tendency to crash a lot. When one gives me any crap, I shut it down and use the other. Chrome will also take over your computer if left to its own devices.

Firefox is well-behaved in my experience.  The rare occasions of freezing or crashing are related to misbehaved scripts or multimedia content.  It's very customizable, there are many "hidden" settings that can be accessed via About:Config*.

*Research any preference/setting before making changes to it so as to not cause configuration damage.
