Is the Dyson DC18 out in the UK yet?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Ok, what IS IT about Dysons? We have one at work (DC07?) and frankly, it sucks. And I don't mean that in a good way. It's quite awkward, it's full of leaky joints, and the root cyclone thing is blah - a cyclonic vacuum, big deal. The beater bar cant' be pulled easy, I don't want to know WHAT you do if the belt breaks, and I doubt it'll work on shag.

Then again, the Oreck dealer admitted their can't withstand shag either.

It's amazing the amount of snake oil and one upsmanship the vacuum industry as a whole's engaged in over the last few years...

I have to say I wasn't too impressed with my DC03 nor the DC07 (I think) that work had, but this DC14 we have now seems to be a hell of a lot of an improvement over the earlier Dyson products. Plasticky perhaps but it is a lot better than what else is available here on the market, in terms of upright cleaners and features.

dc18

Thanks for your picture emailed to me Acerone. I guess they are just about to launch the dc18 here in the UK as they have appeared at my wholesalers but are not yet available to buy. Taking orders only. I like the look of them. i'll be interested to see in the flesh

The DC12 is still Japan only I think, and the DC16 is rather expensive for what it is - though I bet people will splash the cash on it in order to have the latest thing.
