A square Simplicity wringer washer, that's kinda cool and rare!

I was at an auction last Monday and this exact machine was there in harvest gold.
I have seen them go without a bid.I had $140.00 to spent.
Unfortunately there were a lot of Mennonites there and bought it for over $200.00.
I guess they need it more than I do.
I believe that is the activator agitator, that is found in most of the Eaton's Viking washers.
The washer that I was looking at had a white agitator and black cap.I thought the agitator must have been replaced at one time, but looking at this one, maybe they did do two tone cap and agitator.
The two silver dials look very much like the Viking washer Eddy has. The one I looked at had round flush knobs

that's the one I have but with a different agitator. The friend that gave it to me said she bought it new in the mid-80's from, you guessed it, the long gone and missed Eatons.

McGraw Edison built
Right here in Canada. Some were marketed as Speed Queen although the design was totally different from the US version. My Viking wringer is a McGraw Edison Canada product, in fact parts underneath it have the Simplicity name on them.

I guess I should use the poor old Simplicity more often.... I ran down to the basement and I'm wrong, it is the same agitator, just a different colour, sort of beige.

OMG - I have this exact washer!
This is the last of my wringer washers that I was able to move out of my old house when I moved last November. It's currently in storage in a friend's basement and I hope to get it moved to the house in Ogden this fall.
