Hot & Cold fill machine these machines look good and are built by ex engineers who know the weaknesses of machines etc.
What makes our machines so special?
As you would expect all our machines ultra efficient in terms of energy and water consumption and probably the easiest washing machine in the world to use but, unlike our competitors, this is where our environmental credentials start, not finish.
All ISE machines are now exclusively made by Asko based in Vara, Sweden in a factory which traditionally supplies commercial machines to the UK market.
Asko’s environmental credentials are impressive having won numerous environmental awards including the Nordic Swan accreditation for some of their products.
All ISE machines now have commercial carcasses with each component is designed to last at least 8000 cycles and every machine is tested at the factory prior to dispatch. If you did one wash per day 365 days per year that’s just under 22 years of use.
Components are made from engineered metal rather than moulded plastic and the grades of steel used are of the highest This means they are 4 – 6 times more durable than good quality domestic machines, over 10 times more durable than ‘value machines’ sold by the major chains.
Given the above we can give a ten year parts and labour guarantee for the ISE1607 washing machine and CD601W in a domestic setting and given its heritage it also has three year cover in light commercial premises such as hair dressers, nurseries, small pubs, multi occupancy houses etc.
For ISE aftercare is about good service not profit. ISE make no profit on the sale of spare parts and make technical information and diagnostics freely available to repairers. This makes our machines economic to repair and recondition after the guarantee period has run out extending their life even further and helping small UK businesses.
Longer lifespan for less environmental damage
Like its predecessor, the ISE1606W, this machine is simply outstanding in terms of build quality and performance and is engineered from the outset to maximise the life of the machine. This is done by using higher quality components that are designed to last in excess of 8000 cycles, or over 20 years normal domestic use and by wherever possible, using steel and metal instead of plastic.
Built in Sweden to exacting standards and with the highest possible regard for the environment both in production and in lifespan the care for our environment doesn't stop there. This machine also has AAA performance as well as many automated features to save energy, which means that the machine works out the optimal performance, so you don't have to.
We and many of the people that use them think that it is the best washing machine on the market.
Outstanding Features
Unlike almost every other A rated washing machine we've seen the 1607W can complete a normal 40 cottons wash in little over an hour as opposed to the usual two hours or more. A fantastic timesaver for busy family life.
ISE are so confident in the quality and longevity of this machine that the machines carry a 10 year parts and labour warranty as standard included, so no repair bills for at least a decade, but probably a lot more!
There are some very unique features about this machine that make it very special, asides from being built like a battleship, one such feature is that it is the only machine we have seen with a proper steel subframe which then has four massive shock absorbers for greater stability, even on the likes of wooden flooring excess vibration is soaked up better than any other machine we’ve ever seen.
The door can be opened during a cycle to add things you may have forgotten to add, like a sock that was dropped.
The machine can also be programmed easily to default to either three (as standard) or five rinses. This option is one that allows people that may have sensitive skin, skin allergies or problems with the likes of eczema to have much more rinsing than a standard machine does.
The 1607W also boasts a door sealing system that effectively means that there is no door bellows (or door seal) as such. The door seals directly onto the tub unit and the door then seals to the tank, this means that the chances of laundry being caught by the seal are almost entirely removed. Asides from protecting the laundry better it also means that the door seal cannot be ripped or damaged as, in the traditional sense, it isn’t there to cause a problem on the 1607W.
Then there’s the bearing unit which was originally used in a Volvo truck and designed to last for over one million kilometres of constant use. This is then backed up by a steel bearing seal cassette that is way superior to any we’ve seen on another washing machine.
Basically, these washing machines are built to be virtually bombproof and we love it!
And, even in light commercial use, the appliance carries a three year parts and labour warranty, an industry first. You can now find ISE machines in regular use on Ministry Of Defence bases, schools, colleges, Premier Travel Inns, HM Prisons and a host of other light commercial uses such as hairdressing salons, pubs, restaurants and even on commercial ships.
Please contact us directly for further details on light commercial use.
What's New
The 1607W has an activated drum where different elements of the drum design are used in harmony with one another to give a gentle but thorough wash action. There is a totally new stainless steel drum with the holes designed to gently "push" the laundry into the centre as well as the drum shape itself helping with that purpose. Then we have the radically redesigned paddles that also steer the clothing and have grit escapes on them to cut down on small items of grit, grass blades or suchlike being left in the drum.
In fact, in independent testing the new drum design leaves less "grit" as they call this type of dirt than any other washing machine design in the world.
The design, when coupled with the smart filling, also negates the usual disadvantages when you have a larger drum capacity. And, although the drum is rated as 8kg, it is physically larger than many that have a claimed higher capacity.
There is also a redesigned aesthetic with an all new control panel with white LED indicators and display.
A new door design which allows much wider opening due to an innovative double hinge.
Many times over the years we have been asked for a washing machine that can be a hot and cold fill as well as being suitable for use in circumstances where geo-thermal, solar heated water or another ecological solution for providing hot water to the washing machine was available. This was not possible to do, meet our high standards of performance and to have a hot water connection that actually offered any real benefit.
Until now.
We have been looking into the feasibility of introducing a true hot and cold fill machine that intelligently fills with hot water when required and fills with cold water when required. And, when the incoming water is too warm it will automatically switch to cold water and balance the water temperature to the chosen setting.
We simply refer to this model as "the Eco".
The Eco washing machine is a true hot fill washing machine that is optimised to use a preheated water supply which is ideally delivered from an ecological heating solution. This method of having a true mixed fill is not available on any other washing machine sold in the UK as any machines that are labelled as being "hot and cold fill" will generally only take hot water on one program and for one fill only. The Eco operates in a way that you would expect a hot and cold fill washing machine to by intelligently filling with hot and cold water to offer the performance increase in time and the maximum energy savings whilst also ensuring that there is no loss of performance in cleaning your clothes.
The primary benefit to people with tanked, solar or other renewable hot water source is that up to a 71% reduction in electricity requirements per wash cycle can be achieved ad that the Eco is most likely the most eco-friendly washing machine in the world.
Not only is the Eco the most ecological washing machine in terms of sheer up front performance, it is also built to last, like our other washing machines made in Sweden with an expected lifespan of over twenty years in normal domestic use.
But that really is only the start of what this outstanding washing machine delivers.
Like the rest of our 2011 model year washing machines we have introduced a large true 8kg load with a new drum and tank that offers a mammoth 60 litres of actual wash volume. We can do this due to our new Hydroactive washing system as it overcomes the common issues encountered with other large capacity front loading washing machines by gently using the flow of water in the drum to move items towards the middle of the drum. Coupled with the new and unique paddle design this system offers unparalleled levels of cleaning, lower detergent requirements and better rinsing of your laundry.
An ecological washing machine without compromises.

Getting The Most Out Of Hot & Cold Fill
Some people have been asking about the requirements in order to plan ahead to install an Eco washing machine and these are the basics to get the most from it.
If you have a renewable heated water source, in order to get the most out of it and to save as much wasted water and energy as possible there are some installation requirements that should be met to ensure the best possible performance.
The first is that, as much as is reasonably possible, have the washing machine installed as close to the hot water source as is possible. This saves wasted heat loss from pipework between the water supply and the actual machine itself.
Next the pipework between the water storage tank and the machine must be lagged in order to prevent as much heat loss as possible. Because the washing machine is so efficient in the amount of water it uses (like most modern washing machines only more than most in this case) then, depending on the length of the pipe run between the machine and the storage tank it could have filled almost entirely with the water in the pipes or, filled a good bit of the water required with just the water in the pipework. By lagging the pipes you keep the heat in the water as much as possible for as long as possible which makes the Eco much more efficient than i f you didn't.
Please bear in mind that the more you do to ensure that the heat energy doesn't escape needlessly the more efficient the machine will be.
