I am working on photos.

Unit works radio kick 8 track works and sounds great. Problem turntable.

Now now the only problem with the unit. Turntable needs a new cartridge. Problem I hate to install them little wires freak me out big time. Is this cartridge like some bsr that plugs in or is it like a rokoola 4 small aires you have to plug in one at a time.

Also any clue what type and how to replace it. The metal little part that would hold the stylus is in a bag some one must have broke it off.

Only other problems the back input port and a switch that says mute on off is broke. Ports rca pushed in easy fix switch broke. What would a mute switch do? It has on the front of the unit speakers on of remote speakers on of so the back switch is a mystery.

dinker record adapter with a odd hole on top can i wear it for good luck.

mute switch on back is fixed. It does something I did not know they had then. On fm stereo only it cuts out static when tuning the dial for stations. It rocks if you want the static turn it to fm and tune channels.

Am radio picks up great.

The rca jacks I will fix with some good glue. Inside of unit was clean as new. Checked a few things and all looks fine. 8 track belt is like new also.

For got to add inside of unit talks about adding cassette by removing back board on 8 track tape holder. There is a plug for one also says to run to aux jack from inside of unit.

Wish I could find that deck for this unit. It has the best sound I ever heard. I have heard a lot of stereo console but never a magnavox before tell now.

Ok this is almost like a bsr cartridge I can hardly read what it says on but looks like this. It plugs in with a cord into the back of the cartridge that part is red. Odd part it is a long sucker that has one screw to hold it to the arm.

brazil might be 88 then 5638 mgiht be another 8 -
3 then under that 448 then 5606d end where cord
plugs into it is red

I have seen these New Old Stock from time to time at very good prices.

Magnificent Magnavox

Oh yeah, Magnavox used to make a great stereo.The sound is absolutely incredible with the turntable. Almost beyond belief. I have a tiny Realistic tape deck on top of mine hooked into the Tape jack in the back. By the way, does yours have the green backlit dial?

Yes the light dial is green I think it is dim. Not sure if there is a bulb out. When I had the back off I seen one bulb on but could not tell if it has another one. * track lights are green also.

I pulled the table out to check it. Easy turn locks and table lefts out. All was clean like new.

Only wear to the case is the front lip of the top. But to me that adds to it shows some one use to rub the edge well play it.

Did have to run the 8 track it was slow at first but picked up after a few songs. Now it works like new. I think it was not used much heads are clean and shiny.

Turn table off on auto switch was a little stiff at first but gave it a shot of grease. Other wise it is like new.

Looks like no one ever set anything on top of it also. Top gots one hear line mark but it is small.
