Hi Jimmy. I always loved Phyllis Diller and I remember Snowy Bleach. It had a nice scent. Sure wish they still made it.

I always loved Phylis Diller. I actually have met her on a few occasions. When she's not "working" she could be a very glamourous woman! And consistently nice too!
Years ago, she used to guest on WIND AM 540 Radio in Chicago with Howard Miller. Talk about interesting conversations!
Thanks for the link to the commercial. I would imagine that it must have been made in the early 60's. I really enjoyed it.

That was a great commercial Jimmy! I have never seen or heard of it before, I loved the way she dumped half the box in the machine.
Phyllis is great. She is also an accomplished classical pianist as well.
Snowy is still around, in both liquid and powder. Can be hard to find in some areas, but still made.

Sigh...I do wish that if companies are going to the trouble of making good products, that they would work on their distribution systems!

Consumer Reports tested color safe bleaches a long time back and Snowy was found to be not very effective.
That's right Tom. When Clorox 2 came out, it kinda stomped all over Snowy.
I remember this commercial, but never really paid much attention to the laundry pair. That's definitely a 1964 Norge. It of course didn't have the filter tray attached at the back like it should be. But that was the same agitator as was in our 1964 Norge.

What a fun commercial. I have found several boxes of Snowy - I thought it was just old, good to know it never did work well.
Phyllis is amazing - nine years behind on the laundry - I feel like that every week!

What a fun commercial. I too have never seen it before. Why can't all commercials be like that?
I'm also a big fan of Phyllis Diller.
My mom is still a big fan of Snowy. She prefers the powder. Both the powdered and the liquid versions are still sold around here.
