well here is my L5 laundromat.. this has been and still is my dream machine.. had never seen one while growing up so when i found this one in california almost 5 years ago id bought it.. at the time i didnt care that it was a dead machine and had been sitting for 25 years..had her shipped and found her boot was missing so no prob greg talked me through retro fitting a boot.. tore it down and put it back together then went to test her and found that not only did she leak but her changer was shot.. so apart she came for a second time.. so all was good except for the changer..so then she sat and waited.. then someone stepped in and did me the most wonderful favor.. terry told roger about my prob and the went on a hunt.. and guess what they found?? yep a good changer.. roger took the time to pull and ship a changer to st louis from tucson what a awesome guy... so finally got the changer in and got to do a test load this eve...yea it works so here are a few pics of a really cool machine doing its first load in close to 30 years..am so happy i could just pee

ha ha and here is the best of all i so had to laugh.. since i dont have a basement and its to cold for this child to live in the garage any longer she now lives in the living room ha ha.. well for this first load i rolled her up to the kitchen sink.. hand the drain hose all set in the sink drain and was fine.. did the wash drain and first rinse drain just fine.. then mom came in to watch the machine run.. she was playing with the drain hose when the pump kicked in for its final drain.. it must have frightened her and she jumped and yanked the hose out of the sink.. well that westy has a strong pump so needless to say i got a full kitchne wash down.. you have to love it

Wow.. that is so great!!! Congrats on getting it repaired, back up and running!!

I don't remember all the details, but your machine looks (from what I can remember) EXACTLY like the one my grandmother had!!! I love it!!

Chris I am so very happy that we were able to help!! You are such a great guy and always so willing to help others. Like all of your machines she is just beautiful..Have you given her a name yet? Terry

Chris, thanks for sharing the pics. Congratulations on a job well-done. I enjoyed seeing your socks and undershorts too....they look great, so sparkling clean!!!

Hey Chris, that Westy is looking sharp! Nice to see that things finally came around for you - way to go Roger. You really have become the Mr. Fix-it lately, haven't you?

Dream machines are always nice - they will always put a smile on your face. Enjoy!
