lights on aluminum trees

I have always heard it wasn't a good idea as well, but I go ahead and take the chance. I did invest in a "good" light set, and I inspect it annually to make sure there's nothing frayed or exposed, but I've never had a problem (knock wood)

Christmas in Roselle

Here's my place this year from the outside:
what looks like smoke is actually my breath, its 12 friggin degrees outside!

the road to Hooverland...

Is lit by twinking snowflakes, and the bells that have been a part of my Christmases since I was a kid..

mark ..........

thanks for complimenting my tree ....... your decorations are awesome, I love the 9 light bubble lights ........

Mark and everyone, your decorations look great! Dan Langdon, did you move? Something looks different about your place...

Terry was after me to decorate when I saw him over Thanksgiving. I haven't decorated for the holidays in eons. Maybe next year I'll start a new tradition. An aluminum tree might be fun...

Lights on aluminum trees.

Three (or four letters) come to mind:

GFI a/k/a GFCI [Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter.]

(That's RCD [Residual-Current Detector] for you Brits.)

STAY SAFE ALWAYS!
You know on which end to stick it.

Happy Holidays!

Mark, Love your tree and lights, and all the Icycles. Reminds me of being a kid, which I still am when at home! Everybody has posted beautiful pics, great lights. I found a large box of C9 strings at an antique store and couldn`t help myself, had to take them out and have a look all were in there original boxes probably 7 to 10 strings with bulbs for $20.00. Well my mom was with me and I didn`t even try! The explainin I would have to do. I`ll have to go back by myself! I had a good year for kitchen finds!
