Dont worry its only my old electrilux upright wide track vacuum cleaner died with a bang and a blue flash, I nearly followed thru. Any way in a Lewins sale in town they are selling dirt devil uprights with on board tools, I struck lucky 1600 watts of sucking power its a big one and its powerfull and I love it. It was reduced from £89 to £49 to make way for new stock, oh yeah my old one lasted 11 years so its had a good life. its only ever had 2 belt changes, love to one and all

I remember those, Kevin-the-hairy-bear,

it always seemed like cleaning up took so much less time with one - we used to borrow a friend's cottage in the lake district and she had wall to wall (ex-pat. American).
So how is the quality on the Dirt Devil? One heck of a good price. Is it as loud as 1600 watts "sound?".

Not Loud

Its not loud at all it does a great job, I love purrr it makes while it cleans up. Not like a devil at all, a bit like me when I get my belly tickled well I am a bear LOL
