Actually, the White Knight condenser's are well known for being useless. The Compact and full sized vented models are incredibly efficient and reliable, but the condensers are, and always have been, pretty crap. I have a Hoover Electron Energy Control and can't fault it.
 
Well, the washer has been on non stop since 9am and its 11.30pm GMT and i can honestly say i am impressed with the machine so far. Its only a 1400 rpm spin but its A+AA rated, think someone mentioned on here that the bigger the drum the better the water extraction is. Last load for the night and thats me done :o)

Robbie, just remember receiving BobLoad certification is, umm, kinda special. Rest assured, BobLoads are the norm at my house too lol.

I like the look of the Swan dude. Absolutely mahoosive door! Looks like n straightforward to use. Hopefully it'll cope with all the use - i can't believe the amount of washing you manage to create, i thought i made loads!

Shame to hear that the White Knight dryer hasn't been very good. I always thought they were one of the best, but after reading peoples comments, maybe that's just their vented dryers that are based on a much more tried & tested design to the condensors. The only decent condensors left seem to be the Zanussis & Mieles now. Possibly Whirlpool too, don't hear much positive or negative about them.

Anyway have fun with the new washer, looking at that pile it's a good job you took out the 4 year cover lol ;)

Your new machine looks great. Love the massive door. I can,t beleive how much washing you have, I thought we was bad, lol.

My partner is buying me a dryer for Xmas as we only have a compact dryer and not big enough, will put some photos of my dryer.

Dryer

Sorry for posting this on the wrong forum, lol.

Robbie, your new baby seems to do nice deep rinses. How many rinses does it do on the cotton cycle?.

My Bosch Maxx 5 only does 2 rinses on the cotton cycle, and the second rinse is with fabric conditioner. I tend to put it on an extra rinse or two, which are very deep rinses.

Hi mate.. Great little zannussi there you got there. I know they are great little workhorses and just go on and on.
As for the rinses on my machhine, the normal seems to be 3 with the option of and extra rinse when the button is pressed.
The only programme that does 2 rinses is the quick wash which takes 20 mins which i wont be using lol....

Yeah its sad about the White knight condensor. I needed a condensor with it being used in the spare bedroom and my first choice was one of these as i have had white knight vented dryers in the past and they just go on and on but this one is awful. steamed windows, noisy and takes ages to dry. But i give anything a chance once. Soon to be replaced and i took out the 4 year warranty cos not sure of the make and with it being a direct drive motor i thought, oooohhhhh expensive if breaks lol

How many Loads?

robliverpool - is that right that "5 loads a day seven days a week"?

I also read you live alone, thats a TON of washing!

I wash a lot, but even I cannot manage to do all that!

Love the Swan, how is the build quality and do you know who actually makes the machine?

I know 21st century Swan is not the Swan it used to be and rebadges others machine, have you done any research - maybe a samsung?

I may be only 20, but I remember the days of having a machine that's top speed was 800, and it was never a problem. I still feel that anything above 1400 is unnecessary
 
2800 rpm baby!

AquaCycle - I have to disagree, I purchased a seperate spin dryer last year to try and save energy and time drying clothes, and I have to say, its one of the best laundry appliances I bought!

The spin speed is 2800 rpm and the clothes come out if it noticably dryer than they were when they went in. Also you can physically see the water coming out of the machine.

If I want to save cash and not use the dryer I can spin my clothes for 3 mis, then just hang them in the house and they are dry very fast.

I can honestly recommend them to anyone and I now consider a spinner an essential component of my laundry room.
 
Spin Dryer

I too have a Creda spin dryer. I spin my towels for about 8-10 mins and they come out so dry. Most often I put them on a maiden and they dry over night.

My spin dryer spins at 2800rpm too and it is the best investmant I have bought.

Fast Spin Washers

I remember reading in Which magazine about fast spin machines. I think it was in the early 80,s. Which said, "there might, or could be reliability problems with fast spin machines.

If you go back in time, most machines would spin below 800rpm, and most machines would last a good few years without breaking down, compared to modern day machines.

I know Miele are made so well they don,t seem to have any breakdowns. My Mums Miele machine is about 10 years old now, 1200 rpm, washes nearly every day, and never had any problems.

I strip the beds 3 times a week cos my dog malts like summit else, i use 3 towels a day, get changed twice day then theres the duvets aswell, plus me rug in living room, plus i have a special needs brother who lives next door to me and then there is the dogs bedding that is done a min of twice a week, plus i wash my curtains every couple of weeks throught the house. I smoke and cant stand the smell of smoke plus i get paronoid over doggie smells in the house lol and before anyone says about the smoking in the house and it would be easier to smoke outside tried that and doesnt work lol... really need to pack in...

And if you think i am bad with the washing i am nothing like i was when i had a top loader hotpoint, i used to wash the stair carpet every week lol, deffo a touch of ocd... now if they could make a machine to fit my car seats in then i will be first in the que for it lol
