Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Darren,

Those little cans I got from BJ's.
I've called customer service and gave them the serial and date numbers.

Spoilage came very early by:

799 days from the start date to the end date. 04/25/12
Or 2 years, 2 months, 9 days including the end date.

Please keep in mind that it's been on my shelve for an additional 3 weeks that is not calculated in the figure above.

YUCK!!!!

I am sure if you call Delmonte they will send you a fresher can. What is surprising is no bulge, no leaking. If it not for the yuck factor, someone could have acdidentely gotten very ill.

What does it SMELL like? Raw sewage?

~The can did not have that classic bulge to get you to stay away from human consumption!

Funny, a classic bulge ususally gets me more interested. Oh well...

So are the peaches some brownish-blackish color?

Be careful. You do know how Rock Hudson died don't you? bad meat in the can.

Steve,

It made my cottage cheese curdled!
It smelled worse than a nasty pair of socks.
Oh that was my last b-friend.......

I think that can was that bad can of beets instead of peaches.
The darker the peaches the stinker the juice.
LOL

I had an aunt that had something like this happen to her back in the 60's. She wrote the company and what was their response?
A nice letter of apology AND a CASE of the product!
Fortuantely, the replacements were all good.

A recall maybe in the makings, just how many cans from this batch has been sold?

Hey Jeff, I love prunes but not like these!
I do have a potty mouth and this would put me on Shitters list!

Chris,
Ice Cream and berries are nice but this is too fresh for me!

LOL

Those went black and I don't want to go back!
It was as bad as the Original "The Fly" movie!

Good thing it wasn't a can of Spam or they would have had Disco Rice in it!

The odds of that are next to nil. A megacorporation like Del Monte gets dozens if not hundreds of reports of spoilage every day. If they receive a large number of reports about a single product, then they'd probably look into it. Otherwise it's just an errant can that either didn't seal properly or had a pinhole.

Obviously, they did not use Fruit Fresh on this batch. I wonder if other cans from this batch are out there waiting to be discovered in horror. Do they want you to return it for ANALysis? They sort of look ANALyzed already.
