I like yellow mustard, sweet relish and onions on hot dogs.

However, the other day on a beef hot dog I put on cream cheese and Hatch green chili salsa.

I LOVE hot dogs! We have them for Saturday dinner a couple of times a month. I make the buns myself. I like my hot dogs with yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, the dreaded ketchup and finely diced onions.

Instead of steaming or boiling the hot dogs I bake them in the oven at 375 F for 15 mins, turning them over once half way through, they taste much better baked than boiled.

Now I'm hungry!!

For hot dogs...BBQed onions and chili.

For my personal weakness - 7Eleven "Cheeseburger Rollers"...relish, chili, cheese, mayo, and onions.

And for sausage (we usually grill sausage over an open wood fire when we go camping) - ketchup, mustard, and onions.

Mrs. Volvoman is not a fan of hot dogs. However, during her occasional Instacart dash, she has been known to grab a dirty water dog from the local Home Depot. No condiments other than mustard.

I only buy natural casing locally produced hot dogs.  Love them grilled, but heating the grill for one or two dogs is wasteful so second place goes to my air fryer.  Been also known to boil or steam them.

Toppings?  Mustard and onions and a good quality dry coney sauce if available, nothing more.

Hotdogs? What's that? ;)

We call them frankfurters here or franks. I always get 2. One plain on a toasted, or steamed bun. I love that "snap" when you bite into one with a natural casing. The other frank would have brown mustard, sauerkraut and onions in sauce (Sabrett). On occasion I would commit heresy and add some potato sticks to the mix.

Well I'm mostly a burger freak, however here's one example of whenever I have hot dogs/franks/sausage/brats:

Otherwise I go for a fully dressed Coney Island, which is in these here parts, a chili dog with the works on a steamed bun...

We have hot dogs and tater tots every couple weeks. It's one of Stacye's favorite meals for some reason, and I think it's pretty good myself. I used to cook the dogs on the George Foreman but in the past few months have started using the air fryer. Two minutes on each side, and the dogs taste like they've been cooked over a campfire. It's delicious.

I'm not much of a condiment person, but mustard is good. Chili dogs with cheese are more my speed if I'm gonna do toppings.
