Glad I could help you out Chris, Im sure you would return the favor if need be. Thats a stunning dishwasher and a great design. Im still cleaning lots more parts out of this dealers stock, but its taking quite a bit of time. Hes very nice and for once---fairly normal to deal with!!!! I brought home boxes of parts late last week and will be making another trip there soon. The guy was loaded with repair tools.....it was quite a find! BTW, I might have more vintage KitchenAid parts to go thru......so far Ive found a few more boxes of NOS parts........

i didnt break a damn thing

YAH Chistfr! Isn't is amazing the NOS parts that surface every now and then for these vintage appliances?......Patience paid off for sure! Can't wait to see it in action!

Chris, I am so glad that you were able with Jimmy's help to bring this old beauty back to life. Are you planning on putting her in the kitchen if all goes well?

id love to have her in the house but i have a feeling mom would kill it.. i remember you using a KD12 at gregs when he had the convention.. you were so cute doing dishes

Thanks Chris, we did have a great time at that convention. I really think you should give her a try in the kitchen. It only takes 30 min. to do a load and it sure does clean!

I think you will like it too.

Last night I got tired of trying to shoehorn bowls into the Bosch, so took the overflow out to the patio kitchen and powered up the KD-2P - which is more or less the portable version of the KD-12. Same wash arm, very similar racks (albeit top loading style). It performed beautifully, and in 45 minutes vs the 105 minutes the Bosch takes. But both are good machines in their own ways.

well she made it and it was wonderful.. didnt leak or smoke or shock me.. i am happy as can be.. right now she is like a portable in the garage sitting on a piano dolly but hey it works.. love the sound she makes while washing.. so mark come on out and lets make some dirty dishes.. and again a huge thanks to jimmy i always wanted a running KD12 and now i have one.....

mark come on out and lets make some dirty dishes

Sounds good to me Chris~! Very glad you didn't get shocked and there wasn't any smoke nor leaks.........YEA for you bigboy! Will be leaving for North Carolina Saturday morning and won't be back till Monday afternoon.......but we'll get together soon!

he has some cool machines in storage..

Hey buddy.........you're right about travis having a gold mine in his storage units.....i still want to come up sometime and walk through the other storage units just to see what he has......"Travis if you are listening beware!" LOL......you know I still have a woody over that mahagony TV combo that he had sitting in his front room....I nearly wet myself when i saw that sitting there......That was soo cool to meet some other St. Louis washer and appliance people.........I had a great time!...talk to you when i get back from the Carolina's.....

This is a wonderful machine. it does a GREAT job on dishes in NO TIME FLAT. My father bought ours in 1954 . I have it now and it is still working perfectly.
Congratulations on your find. I am sure it wil give you many many years of good service.
