This video has been around since PBS honored Julia Child on what would have been her 100th birthday last year.

I just saw it again on PBS tonight and thought I'd post it for admirers who either haven't seen it yet or choose not to own a TV.

I never thought I'd see Ms. Child mixing it up quite like this.

This is one of my YouTube favorites.

I listen to this every few weeks or so. I am pretty sure Mrs. Child would approve, for she found Dan Ackroyd's "Save The Liver" on SNL to be very funny.

I totally agree with Mrs. Child in "I like to smell something cooking, makes me feel at home."

For the potluck and seminar this evening at church, I am making my carrot cake, and am going to stuff celery. Some celery with cream cheese, some with peanut butter. Was a huge hit last year. Tonight's topic for the seminar is "Marriage Equality, Financial Equality, and Social Justice."

I didn't know Child liked SNL. I wonder if she liked SCTV.

Coq au vin or no coq au vin, this woman is in trouble:

What I have read from more than one source......

Julia was not a regular viewer of SNL. She did have a robust, and far from prudish sense of humor, however.

Her collected letters to her agent and friend, Avis DeVoto are a stitch. Avis' letters are nearly as good!

I have none of Julia Child's cook books, though I do have a number of them from other famous chefs, including Alma Lach's "The Hows and Whys of French Cooking," which I consult frequently.

It just occurred to me that I never see Child's books in thrift stores.  That speaks . . . volumes.
