I spent Thanksgiving with my 93 year old parents and we had a lot of fun going through some old photo albums. I came across this circa 1974 photo of my folks and me on my Grandma’s back porch with her 1960s Montgomery Ward Signature wringer washing machine. We don’t look too happy…maybe it’s because there was no more laundry to do?!

My other Grandma had a much better Wards Signature 1962 automatic washing machine and too bad there aren’t any photos of that!

Isn't he though.

Both my parents passed last year about two months apart.  Before I could get used to one being gone, suddenly the other one was too.  And 3 weeks later a childhood friend...and 6 months later a fun entertaining aunt.  And before these 4, in Dec. 2019 a significant Uncle passed at 91..... and 9 months before him my younger brother, and 5 months before him a significant aunt.

Not to sound like a downer so.... don't get any ideas.  None of their losses had anything to do with me.   lol

I think what we're trying to say is appreciate them while they are here. If there is anything you can resolve or neutralize, do it.  I know I had/have some regrets on some things with my relatives.  And it's true what they say, sometimes you don't realize certain things about a relative until they are gone.

But clearly you are spending time with them and looking at photos from the past.  That's a healthy sign.  :-)
