Just To Prove That Oz Omo is the same as Persil...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I love it have been using it since it came out about 4 weeks ago. Smells like old omo liquid except for the quick wash which smells like uk persil liquid. Cleans really good for a liquid has enzymes. Small and mighty colour and quick wash can be used in Front Loader as well. Now all Unilever need to do is to give us new Comfort Fabric softener and I will be a happy lad

Also comes in Surf

Hi Matty,
Did you know that small and mighty also is available in Surf?,although not as many varieties as Omo,it also replaces the old 1.4 litre Surf liquid.
I haven't tried it yet,you see last week while we were shopping, Coles had the 2kg Surf concentrate powder on special for $3.59, down from $5.99 a good saving so I bought 4 boxes.
1 tropical breeze,1 ocean fresh,1sunshine fresh and 1 sensitive.
Cheers.

Omo/Persil

Matty,
You are quite coreect actually Omo IS Persil,in the charity shop I manage we often have a regualr shopper who is a sales rep for Unilever and one day I asked her about it and she confirmed that our Omo is Persil if you went to New Zealand you would see exactly the same box as Omo only it is called Persil and what we call Omomatic over there is called Persil Low Suds.
This is different however to the German Persil by Henkel,(which incidentally I miss terribly but the little polish delicatessen where I used to get it just don't import it any more. sigh!).
Cheers.
Steve.

S&M Colour

Hi All,

I ran out of my Omomatic Colourlock as its always hard to get, and bought a bottle of S&M colour.

So far, I've been very impressed. Mild scent compared to the powder and clean clothes. I'm not usually a fan of liquids, but it seems to work pretty well.

I wont bother with the other varieties, I'll keep using my Drivematic Powder for everything else.

I have used Persil small and mighty and I have had suds lock on many occasions with 35 mls. One thing I don’t like is that the dosage is fixed even if you do a mini load for a few items on a quick wash. I have started to use the Persil liquid gel again as I can adjust the dose

I want some Omo liquid I think we should have a new Varity come out in the uk

I did see the surf varieties also and am intrigued. Will definately buy the colour Omo S&M tomorrow and do a colour wash and see how we go. I have not always liked the strong scent of Omo powder otherwise i would use it religiously but hopefully the liquids don't leave such a lingering scent i might make it more my daily driver, rather than swapping between BioZet, Dynamo and Drive (all of which i love)

Small and mighty...

Hey Guys

Im with James on this and will be switching back to Colour Liquigel once my last bottle is finished- as he said reducing the dose for small loads/quickwashes is difficult to judge when there is such a small quantity to start with.

Another reason is the Liquigel has been on offer in various places @ 2 for £5.00- not sure if anywhere has it on offer at the moment though :(

Persil S&M is currently my daily driver, and it's the first product I've truly liked since the old white Persil liquids disappeared from the shelves years ago. So far it hasn't overfoamed on me yet, and during the wash cycle all I see is a light froth. After two rinses the water is totally clear again, something I've never seen happen in my water-stingy Zanussi until now. Love the stuff!

It's still a liquid though, so I wouldn't expect it to tackle really heavy soiled loads. For stained kitchen whites, and the cloths and mop heads I use for work, I've stuck with powder and tablets just to be on the safe side. Perhaps the S&M would do OK, but I'm usually to pushed for time to risk having to rewash these.
