I know, I know....but this was too cute to pass up. I walked into my dining room and find Nick napping in an empty gift basket on the table. I was able to grab my camera and snap a pic before he woke up.

Nick is from Seattle and has never seen snow. I set him outside during the snowstorm yesterday and the look on his face was priceless; He looked around, took a few leaps through the drifts, then made a bee-line for the great indoors.

On a sad note (for me, at least), Nick, who I've been caring for these past 8 months, will be rejoining his real human next week. Chet found a job and a pet-friendly apartment.

Black or black and white cats, like dogs are my favorite.
Dave from the vacuumland forum who lives not too far away was recently looking for a new black kitten so I asked my sister who is a vet assistant to keep an eye out. And here's who she found, picture taken today. Dave's going out of town for a couple of weeks and she's already becoming attached to it. The dog is her Shadow.

This is Tuffy

So named in the hope that he would not suffer the same fate as his predecessor: dead from FIP before one year of age. So far, at 18 months, AOK.

My babies are not only exceedinly vain -- loving to get dressed up and preening and parading around like peacocks -- they are also big hams! All I have to do is approach with the camera and they start posing!
