KitchenAid Dishwasher Model: KUDD230Y2

Just got this dishwasher installed in our new house (ignore the mess), but I've noticed that the motor lets out some random whining/squealing noises while running. They're not too awful loud, but definitely noticeable. If I gently tap on the bottom of the motor while running, the noises go away for the rest of the cycle. They also usually stop roughly 3-5 minutes or so after starting. I'm pretty sure it's dry motor bearings, but this particular dishwasher was only used a handful of times the past 20 years. Is there anything I should/can do to remedy this?

Whining and squealing noises from dishwasher pump

Most likely this is caused by the carbon and ceramic water seal, the sound will come and go, should not worry about it.

It can get worse if the dishes are being put in with very little food soil on them oils, etc., also using too much detergent versus the soil level of the load will make it worse,

You may be able to hone the seal by washing a few loads with a tablespoon of bonami cleanser dumped in the dishwasher. Sometimes this will stop the noise.

Give us a video clip of the noise. It could be the motor bearings or the carbon seal, they both have their own distinct noise. Noise from the carbon seal is nothing to worry about (usually the sound comes and goes), the motor bearings are (noise never goes away, the motor comes to a sudden halt instead of spinning down while stopping).
