Hey all, I ordered a replacement unicouple/unicoupler for my KitchenAid Imperial and I'm at a roadblock with connecting the fill hose as the connector is wider than the original.  Is there a special adapter/fitting I can use or do I have to cut the connector off and use a clamp?

probably the simplest thing to do is to go to a plumbing supply house, take both pieces with you.....in an instant they will know what piece you need to make it fit and work....if anyone would have those parts, its them!....they have fittings you never would have imagined existed.....

good luck, and let us know how you make out, but you should be fine

What you need is on eBay.

You need to remove the 90 deg fitting from the valve (the part your holding - it unscrews) and replace it with a 3/4" hose by 1/2" male fitting. Here is the eBay item info
Item number: 260895103937
Item location: Farmington, UT, United States
Bidding starts at $2.39.
Or try to locate one in a plumbing supply. I don't think you would find it at Lowes or Home Depot.

CORRECTION!!!

Today I realized that I gave the wrong dimensions needed for this fitting. You need 3/4" hose thread by 3/8" (NOT 1/2") male pipe thread. The one on eBay will not fit. Sorry if I screwed anyone up. SteveD
