I have a KDI-18 dishwasher. I replaced the shaft seal and drain valve a couple of years ago. I just replaced the fill/inlet valve a week or so ago and it was working great. I left the lower access panel off for the last week on purpose to make sure there were no leaks. I replaced it tonight and the dishwasher stopped in the middle of the pre-wash cycles and now it will not turn on. It has no power. I've checked the circuit breaker and it isn't that.
The new fill valve is a slightly different fit and the pipe had to be redone. It was solid copper before and now it is a braided flex pipe (still metal). Is there something, like the overflow valve, that if it was pressed on by the new pipe once the cover was on that would cause the machine to lose power?
I have a service manual and I can't find any evidence this model has an internal fuse? Is that the case? What can I check to see what is going on?
Thanks!
