Not working Properly. I am not too familiar with how this machine operates, so I was letting it run through a cycle so I could see how it works.
It seems to have gone through a wash, and rinse cycle fine. I'm not sure what kind of sounds the machine should or shouldn't make but I could hear a lot of clicking here and there during the operation. When it got to the dry cycle everything seemed to be normal. The dry light came on as well as the blower. When it completed I opened the door and there was standing water in the bottom, so I closed the door and pushed the drain button.
I let the machine run for a few seconds, and then I opened the door to make sure it was draining, but it was actually spraying the water all over the tub again like a wash cycle. Then I started to hear a lot of clicking from behind the left side of the control panel and the Machine was lighting the wash rinse and dry lights within seconds of each other while the clicking continued. I pushed the drain button again and the dry light stayed on and the Machine was running as if it was washing again.
I had to remove the control panel in order to remove the front panel to paint it and I saw inside the left of the control panel what looks to be a timer? That is the area I heard a lot of clicking coming from. So I'm wondering if the timer May be bad now or is there something else that goes wrong with these that makes the timer malfunction?
I guess dishwashers don't really like me, LOL. But if anybody can offer any advice, diagnosis or repair info it would be greatly appreciated. I was hoping to have everything in working order before I move in at the end of the month. The dishwasher seems to be the only real problem.
Thanks again guys for reading and for helping. This site is awesome.
Best always,
Louis
