Looks good, but more like 1961-1964, this was the last of the cast-iron wash-arm models.

Perhaps this a KDS54 that got slipped under the counter. The seller may have seen the 54 and jumped to the conclusion that it was a 1954 model.
Or they just pulled a date out of the air like so many of these craigslist "experts" seem to love to do.
