kds-17 will not start

I have a KDS-17 that will not start a cycle. If I release all buttons (all out) and turn the timer dial with handle up, I can see the lights progress through the cycles as I turn. As soon as I press any selection, or lower the handle, any cycle light will go out. No sound, or hums come from the unit.

Any ideas/suggestions?
Anyone have a link for a schematic or service manual?

Hmmmmmmm

I wasn't aware a KDS 17 had a timer dial. Or at least the last time I looked. It must be a Custom or Imperial.

I gather you are turning the timer shaft with the lower access panel removed. Any way something is wrong electrically I would start with the door interlock switch inside the top right hand side of the door, and be sure that the metal plunger that pushes the switch lever is still there and contacting the lever when the door is closed and latched.
