Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Wow, it's even counter depth. What's new is old and what's old is new.

I've seen the video on this site for the appliance. The only feature that isn't super useful is the Breakfast Bar, which contains in-door dispensers for I believe two types of juice. Must be a pain to clean out the dispensers. Other not so useful item for today's living is the frozen juice dispenser in the freezer door. I guess some people make juice from cans of frozen concentrate but not as commonly as in the old days.

Too bad it was not restored to one of the eight original colors.

My grandmother had one until the mid 70's...wish I had it today.

I had one of these when I lived in Hollywood. It worked fine and was white.Blue is o.k.but not one of its original colors. The paint job isn't that great either.lots of streaks. They aren't that heavy, just bulky.

Ended Unbid....

....Maybe it'll be re-offered with a different starting/BIN price.

Pretty nice- only glitches I see (besides that cobalt paint, which can always be redone) are that little break in the reefer side's liner, beside the latch keeper, and the banana rack (on the freezer door, at the bottom) is missing, at least in the photo.

A Later Foodarama:

Here's a 1960 Spanish-language ad for that year's Foodarama. As you can see, it got squared off for a more contemporary look, but is much the same idea. One of these in turquoise might be the ultimate early-'60s frost-free!

Hmm. One of those, a GE Stratoliner, a KitchenAid KD-12, and a pair of TOL 'Tags - all in turquoise. Now that would be a kitchen....
