Kenmore 80 Series Yellow Spots

My washer has developed these yellow spots on it, along with the front end caps. Anyone have any solutions on how to whiten these without repainting the machine? I am hoping these can be worked out with some polish or something, but I haven't had much luck.

Acetone ?

I would try some acetone on a rag and see if it would any of that surface discoloration.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks. I will definitely try that and report back my results. Hopefully it doesn't take off the finish. Do you know what may be a good product to shine up the buffed area afterwards?
