I'm new to the forum. I don't really collect major appliances but I do love them. I need to know how to fix my vintage Kenmore Soft Heat timer. It doesn't "wind down" and turn off, just keeps running. So you have to pay attention when you start it up. I usually check it in an hour and everything seems dry by then. BUT sometimes I forget. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I see you are using the Automatic Fabric Care Cycle, which is usually very good choice. But, if you set the timer for a timed dry, does the timer progress back down to off? I'm assuming the timer doesn't progress on the setting you're showwing in the photo. If the timer doesn't progress down to off on the timed dry cycle, then you need a new timer.

Model number is required to identify/source parts. Soft Heat is a machine feature not a model designation. The model tag is affix to the loading port, visible when the door is open.
