I am thinking about a new dishwasher. I think kenmore is the way to go. I want to know how many people think a Kenmore Ultra Wash is?

If I'm not mistaken, the new Kenmores no longer use the Ultra Wash name and they certainly do not use the power clean or point voyager(tall tub with chopper)design anymore as they have gone with the triple filtration and longer cycle wash system. Jury is still out on how well they clean. If you want something that is a modern equivalant of the Ultra Wash, I would look at a Maytag. They are made by Whirlpool(as was the Ultra wash) and they still use the soft food chopper and disposal system that served us so well all these years.

Go for a used Kenmore Ultra Wash. It will outclean anything made today. They do use quite a bit of water, but still less than handwashing 
. If you are on an unlimited budget go for a new Bosch or Miele, they will be more efficient than a kenmore, But much more expensive.

I thought you could not use a dishwasher because your septic tank was overloaded. What are you going to do, catch the water each time the dishwasher drains and pour it outside?
