Roto Swirling away, I didn't like the Vari-Flex, don't know why, I just can't appreciate straight vane over spiral vanes. And yes, yes, I know, it's got a Whirlpool cap, but I don't have any other Kenmore caps besides the the little tiny one that just covers the top of the agitator screw, I don't like that one... lol, I'm just picky I guess...

I have to ask -- where'd you find Perm Press towels?? ;-)

You should at least check out the Vari-Flex. It really does have an effect. You have basically 8 agitation speeds on a 2-speed machine.

Ya know, the funny thing I've notice about this machine is that even on the Normal cycle, halfway through it shifts down to low speed agitation... Kinda annoying... One other thing is that this machine seems to have some trouble starting up for spin. It can do it on low speed but it takes a little bit to get going, but high speed seems to have quite a bit of trouble, I gotta help it along for that! I guess the belt needs to be a teense tighter... I think I'll just give it a push. ;)

Hi Jamie, those are beautiful pictures you always take such great pictures! I love the mixture of the Kenmore agitator and the Whirlpool cap! Congratulations on getting the machine running.

I don't think that the machine should switch to low speed during the Normal cycle at any time. Are you sure about that?

As for the sluggish spin, there is a chance that the transmission is not aligned properly inside the spin tube. I have instructions to fix that, I will find them for you and post them tonight.

Jamie, great pictures, what a beautiful machine! That 'Surgi-Swirl' does look neat. I can only imagine watching that Vari-Flex (with fins fully extended) do a Permanent Press cooldown!

How does she spin on high speed? Is it still hesitant?
