Trumps

Well two classic machines in one week is brilliant, Ian I am happy for you to have rescued this machine, from what I hear you are more than capable of restoring it which is all the better.......

It looks great cleaned up, and I like others will be keen to see it working unique machines such as these are.

Well Done

Powered Up, but...

Hi All
Thanks for all your encouragement, I thought that I would take a look at things this afternoon and see what happened with the application of power. Please bear with me if this goes on a bit.
Firstly it seemed that the brake wasn't releasing with the door shut so I disconnected the cable and took off the brake arm, then I decided that the mains cable didn't look too convincing so I replaced it with one from a Supertwin 111 (sorry, lol).
I then plugged it in, on the first couple of attempts it tripped the RCD straight off, tried it again and it would then take power. The timer motor runs as soon as you switch on but I can't get it to do anything else regardless of the keyplate being in or not, which leads me to believe that it may be a timer problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry I kept it quiet, couldn't really believe it until it was in the car! The door boot is turquoise, or what remains of it! I'm puzzled at the fact that all the framework is painted an off white rather than grey and each part has a number on it like a big self assembly kit though.

The bottom part of the sump hose feels fine, all the rest are more or less crunchy.

I'll see if I can get some decent pictures of the Dealer news some time this week and start a new thread

Earth fault

Depending on whereabouts in Staffordshire you are (I'm in Stoke, North Staffs.), I would be happy to investgate (and probably cure) your Earth Fault.

All best

Congratulation Ian

Lovely machine and you are going to have many hours restoring this classic.

Good luck and enjoy

I realise this thread is an old one, but I stumbled across this on Google images and got all excited and nostalgic - triumphdolomite, we had that exact same kitchen when I was growing up. Infact, it was still in the house when we left. We also had the full sized version of that Indesit dishwasher! Sorry for the small pic, it's the only one I've got.

Kitchen

It's one of MFI's best! It hopefully won't be with me too much longer if I can find a decent Hygena System 70 that's not miles away to do a retro refit.
Ian.
