I saw these in a lot of 1980s kitchen design magazines (the Chambers version). What is strange to me is some of them had electric surface units but the broiler/griddle was gas if I recall right??
I posted another KitchenAid version from Craigslist awhile ago, that was just a drop in cooktop with the controls mounted horizontally like a typical cooktop. It had the Chambers daisy gas burners, but the center had an electric solid element burner that I think could be changed to a griddle.
