Kitchen Aid Dishwasher Imperial Selectra 21 or 22

This dishwasher was installed around 37 years ago. We just had a error code d0, door open. The unit will not clear error turning power off either. I cannot get it to start. Anyone have any ideas. This is a great dishwaher.
