I wonder if anyone can help - I lent my Kitchen Aid KSM90 Classic (4.5Qt Bowl) to my mother in law to try, and she then decided to buy her own.

She bought a Artisan mixer, with the Artisan bowl which i THINK is 5 Qt size.

Now she does a lot of cooking and decided to use both mixers hence mixed up all the beaters etc.

When I went to claim my mixer and accessories back I noticed that one of the K beaters had some of the nylon coating rubbed off the bottom. I cannot remember if this was my origional beater or her new one.

I held them close to one another and found that one was bigger than the other, and it was the bigger beater that had the white rubbed off.

So I THINK what happened was she used the big beater with my 4.5 quart bowl and it rubbed on the bottom and removed the paint.

Are there any Kitchen Aid experts out there that can tell me if which beater would have come with mine, would I have the smaller beater of the larger one.

Also the new Artisan mixers now, have they increased the beater size since they have a slightly bigger bowl?

Any help would be gladly appreciated, I worry that I have in fact taken the new beater and maybe mine was rubbed off before I gave it her, but I hoinestly cannot remember.

It is only my logic that thinks bigger beater in 4.5 qt Bowl would rub off.

However the bigger bowl just looks deeper at the top so maybe my logic is flawed!!!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

John

P.S. The smaller beater I have seems to work fine with my 4.5 qt bowl.
