Jon, ya have to go to the KitchenAid web site. Attached is the link which should get you to the page whereyou enter model number. But be warned, they only have from the KUD21 series onward. Nothing before that which I have been able to find. KUDS21, KUDI21

Quick/Glass

 
My KUDS220T4 has a Quick/Glass cycle (four Wash Selection buttons instead of three). Consists of a very quick rinse (fills and recirculates only for duration of the fill increment, 1.5 mins), shortened main wash, purge and rinse, dry. The dry period is aborted and cycle time is cut from 34.5 mins to 18 mins if no-heat dry is selected. Sani Rinse has no effect.

Otherwise they're largely identical.

thanks Glenn. I've never been around anyone who had the Quick/Glass cycle, much less used it. Talk about a very light soil scenario.

21 vs. 22 Series

Well, the control panels definitely look different (some may say uglier and no longer classic) on the 22's.

Also, it's been lamented here numerous times that the 22's only offer one rinse after the main wash (the one when the dispenser opens) before going straight into drying.

22's are supposed to be quieter than 21's. I'm not 100% sure, but that might be the difference between an Emerson motor and a Hobart. IIRC, some 21's are known to have received Hobart motors.

There may be other mechanical and/or design changes I'm not aware of.
