Missing the 2 side glass racks and the Silverware basket too.
I'm using mine this week. They do clean quickly. 47 minutes Wash, Rinse and Dry.
Parts are extremely rare for these guys.

Hmmm, just 20 mins away from me. I wonder why it stops washing after a minute or so?
I have that same dishwasher - it's the KD2P, made about 1958.
$50 is a great deal. The washer running on wash for only a minute could be due to a variety of causes. I'm thinking perhaps the water valve at the bottom might be stuck, or there's a timer issue. Mine would continuously drain during the water addition for washing, because the valve that controlled the shift between draining and washing was stuck. A little WD40 and some coaxing got it back into operation. As will cycling the timer a few times to free up the stuck valve. Could also be a stuck timer; that might be more difficult to fix but this unit is worth it just because it's so cool looking and well made (heavy gauge steel, porcelain coated inside and out).
I'd get it if it were within driving distance...

I'm going to go for this if no one has put dibs on it yet. I can combine the better parts of this machine with an older one I got from Rich and Chuck and have a working machine in good condition! God I wish I had a working pickup truck.

It might also fit in a big SUV. The machine itself is no bigger than a top loader washer, with nicely rounded edges (SUV interior friendly). But the motor/pump housing below is cast iron, and the whole thing is fairly heavy (although I've seen a guy pick one up and carry it upstairs unassisted).
Removing the cast iron spray arm will help to lighten the load.
If you do get it, please take some closeup shots of the lid hinges. I made some replacements for mine out of billet stainless steel, but I need to get another look at the detail that locks the lid in the up position. I resorted to very strong springs to do that, but it means the as soon as you open the lid, it will raise up.

That's one of the reasons I want to buy this one. One of the hinges on mine is bent ever so slightly that the cover doesn't open properly and stays up and out of the way. The steel on those friggin' hinges is so thick that I don't think I could straighten it out without a trip to Krypton for some big strong men.

I was able to get A KD12-P which was a front loading portable inside the hatch of my 77 Celica GT. Just had to be careful and it took two guys to get the thing in and out but it fit. You can safely lay it down after taking the wash arm out as it will fall off the support and chip the porcelain. The racks can stay as they won't do any damage.
An SUV will fit it nicely too.
Make sure you pad the hatch lock on top and the catch on the body to prevent damage to the machine if it has to stick out of the back!

I bet the drain valve is leaking and the water runs out which makes the Hurricane lose all its power! Maybe it is stuck or just something caught in it or a bad

A Minivan, best all purpose vehicle, decent mileage and better safety than pickup trucks and SUVs, we currently have 5 Chrysler built MVs and I have three at my disposal at all times, you never know when an appliance emergency will occur and you have to move an appliance fast, LOL.

Do the Minivans have some sort of power lift gate or something to help you lift the machines into them?The swap shop guy out here has a pickup with a liftgate-best thing he says-the swap shop operator I use has back problems-so he can't lift the machines onto or out of his vehicles.I help him when he brings machines to me.Besides appliances-the liftgate is useful for furniture and such,too.

Hi Rex, no I have never seen a Mini-Van with a lift gate, but the lift height is pretty low and since most machines can be safely moved on there side they make a good light duty mover. But if you are really serious then an enclosed truck with a power lift gate is by far the best way, like the 15' Chevy box truck we have. The mini-vans are a lot faster, more fuel efficient, safer and fun to drive however and I may be making an 8 hour drive this weekend to get one classic appliance so I will be taking the mini-van.
With the rear seats removed I use the really beefy straps to firmly strap down the appliance to the seat anchor points on the floor so the appliance cannot shift and either get damaged or kill me in a fast stop or minor accident.
