Any of you collect any Pyrex, Club, Anchor, or any other cook ware? How about 50s or 60s table ware china, Redwing, post a pic! A 1qt cofee pot I found for $2.

Cool coffee pot Don!

As far as Kitchen stuff I have collected lots of things. To much to post. When I get it finished I will do a video or something. My plan is every cabinet and drawer you open will be vintage. I've have found all the Pink Kromex now (Pain). Some Pink club aluminum. Lots of other stuff too.

Don that is actually a tea pot....

Don I have that same pot you have on your stove and that is a Pyrex Flameware tea pot cira 1950's thru 1979 when Pyrex discontinued the Flameware line. Flameware was introduced in 1936 and was made to be used on the stove unlike regular Pyrex ware. Pyrex made stove top percolators as well in different sizes and the neat thing about them was that the pumps and the walls of the basket that held the coffee were made of Pyrex glass as well. There are a couple of collector books out on all the different Pyrex glass...you can usually get them at Borders Books. By the way that was a wise $2 spent because those tea pots as well as the actual percolators are quite collectible.

P.S The pics of "Norma" my 1957 GE TV are coming

Kitchen Collectables

Ooh how I love kitchen stuff! Would love to see everyone's collections. I collect Frankoma dinnerware and pottery. Maybe I'll post a few pics in the future.

Just went to my local hospital auxillary thrift store and picked up a 1955 Good Housekeeping Cookbook for $1.00. Hope to make the family's mouth water with tempting recipes like....'Frisco Tuna, 24 Hour Dessert Salad, and Spanish Sweets. Are you hungry yet?

pyrex/corelle

I collect the Spring Blossom Green/Crazy Daisy pattern in both pyrex bake ware and corelle tableware.I have found many odd pieces including salt and pepper shakers and even pedistal mugs (so '70's!)

Had to post something! Couldn't resist

Kromex, Took months to find and hurt the pocket book. I've got the cake plate but it's not in the picture. The only thing left is a Large salt and pepper.

I too love Kitchen things. I have almost the complete set for 8 of the Fire King Jadite dinnerware in the Jane Ray pattern. Also have a 9 cup Pyrex coffee maker along with lots of other fun things. Anyone else into Jadite? Terry

Retromom,

I, too, love kitchen items and gadgets. I am fascinated by any electric gadget, and have been since I was a little kid. My Father is a Mechanical Engineer. Years ago, he worked for General Electric in Syracuse, New York. He was one of a number of Engineers who designed small kitchen appliances. He used to bring home the rejects for me to play with but always cut off the cord so I wouldn’t electrocute myself. Of course, I wanted nothing to do with those that did not have a cord. I was always playing with, and taking apart my Mothers real appliances. I guess I was a challenge to say the least.

For years, I have collected print ads for major appliances dating back to the late 1800s. I have 100s of them. I could probably load the picture of the day for a year or so if only I had a scanner. I also collect China and crystal. Most of my collection is packed away at the moment because I am redecorating and didn’t want them out and about.

In the photo below you can see what I use for my everyday dishes. The top shelf is a collection of vintage Noritake and Sasaki crystal glasses in the pattern Bamboo. I have a complete place setting for 12. I think I have just about every piece they ever made in this pattern. Many of them are put away in the cabinet because I don’t use them as often. I even have the old crystal Champagne glasses that the common stemmed plastic ones are patterned after.

On the second shelf are my dishes. They are also vintage Noritake in a Bamboo pattern. I love the coffee cups with a saucer. I feel special every time I have a cup of coffee.

The third shelf is self explanatory. I love my old mixtures and use them regularly.

When I have finished my remodel and have everything unpacked I’ll provide more pictures.

Collections

Bethann and Chachp:

What fantastic collections! Show us more!

Love the bamboo pattern; very tranquil. And the mixers....oyve!
That pink one would look great in Bethann's kitchen.

Bethann, what are you using for flooring? What colour will your walls be? Details, details, details please!

Kromex!

Yow. I'm impressed by the fact that there's a separate canister for barley. How'd you ever find that one?

Now that everyone's posting pictures, I feel like I need to, too. Don't really have any vintage appliances, but I do have a couple of fun items 'round the old homestead.

Bethann & Ralph those are great pictures! Love the canisters Bethann and what a better place for Mixmasters than the dining room China hutch Ralph!

I love Fireking and Pyrex myself, wouldn't mix a batch of anything in any other bowl myself.

Venus: The floor will be black and white congoleum (I think that's how you spell it) With polyurethane over it. Enough so you can't see the seams. As far as the rest???? I haven't gotten the arrangement right yet! One thing at a time. I don't want to back track.
Veg: Let's see your fun stuff!
Robert: Thanx

I also like those things-have lots of vintage cookbooks from when I lived in an area that had two used bookstores.Even found some neat books in one of the stores "Free Bookbox"always checked it while in the stores area.Found a few vintage books there-even a B&G book on early 1950's interior decorating. The chaptor in the book on early Hi-Fi was VERY cool.Anyway I like Vita-Mix machines. Only found a couple so far. Both old ones from yard sales-2600's.also looking for old Kenwood and KA mixers.Have new KA and Kenwood mixers. Both are so COOL.also have newer Blendtec and Vita-Mix commercial blenders. The Blendtec Titan is claimed to be the most powerful kitchen counter blender-has a NEMA 20A plug!.That machine makes the best shakes and smoothies!Always on the lookout for small kitchen gadgets and appliances.Would like to find an ORIGINAL Cusinart Food Processer. They were made by Robo-Coupe in France and had METAL bases.
