I have had to deal with this problem myself in the past. The only way to help rid the house of the smell is to put a small fan in the kitchen window exhausting out, you can cut some wood or cardboard to fit. Then open another window in the house 1 or 2 rooms over about and inch. Leave running while you are home. I know it is winter and the heat will run more, but this is the only way to remove the smell. It is not healthy to be breathing in that air. Can cause sinus problems and other issues. It will only be for a few days so it will be worth your health for the extra heating charges.
