Hello. I have a KDI-21A (s/n 223-605174, see photo of label) that is, as far as I can suspect, nearly fully functional. It was used regularly up to April of this year when it was relieved of service. I used it on the Normal setting and it worked fine. A short video of it in each of the stages of the Normal cycle are attached to demonstrate this. I never really tried the other functions but see no reason why they wouldn't work. The only thing that seemed to evade me on whether or not it actually worked was the dispensing of drying agent. Seems like I added but it never dispensed. I gather that these things are worth something to those that still run them, at what value I have no idea. I'm hoping this device can find a home that is more useful than the scrap yard at any price. My preference is that someone takes the whole unit. Anyone having any interest, please reach out. This device is located in zip code 10583.

As I see there may not be much interest, I will only keep the device for so long before moving to simply discard it for its scrap value, whatever that is. I will likely make that move Thursday June 26. Any takes kindly reach out before then.

Tell me what components you want off it. If no one speaks up for the whole things by scrap time, I will send you those parts if you pay for shipping.

These things are highly collectible, but timing is always spotty to find a buyer. Make sure you have it on eBay....it will find a buyer. There are NO current models by any builder that matches the greatness of these machines....do NOT destroy it! They are engineering masterpieces.

KitchenAid sold so many dishwashers that there is very little demand for these machines and parts unless they are in pristine and unused condition.

We have an entire wall of parts at our warehouse thousands of parts for Hobart built KitchenAid, I only use one or two parts off that Wall a year. It won’t be that many years before the entire wall of parts will probably be put in the recycling dumpster. There’s just no demand.

The 21 and 22 series dishwashers were not their greatest effort, but they were good machines.
