Wow, well Done -- Love it! When you mentioned you put 2 lights in my initial thought was one on each side, but correct me if I'm wrong, they look to be on the same side, mounted high and lower.

I could sit there for an hour and watch that show!

Love the hot pink!! So 1970's... (Ducking and running!!)
You better run Rick LOL ;)

Also, can you turn on the lights when the dishwasher is not running?
Yup, if you leave the door unlatched and click down the start switch the light will come on without the dishwasher running.

Is that pink a standard color or custom mix?
Its a standard gloss pink from Home Depot.

correct me if I'm wrong, they look to be on the same side, mounted high and lower.
Yup the lights are on the right side of the dishwasher one on top of the other. It would have been great to do one on each side, but on the left side is the fill flume and vacuum breaker assembly so the left side was out.

Congrats~

On a job well done Robert! Your talent and skill never ceases to amaze me...Just lovely!

Loved the video!! Forgot to ask you, why did you decide to install it with the gravity drain instead of the pump?

Hi Terry, when you, Greg and Skyler visit in December we will be sure to bake a lot to make lots of dirty dishes. :-)

I decided to use the gravity drain setup for a number of reasons:

#1 it’s quieter
#2 it drains faster
#3 less parts to leak or go bad
#4 no water what so ever is left down in the sump, it’s completely dry
#5 it's fun to have a silent drain period, very much not what we are used to with a KitchenAid

wow!!!!!!

Now this is how a dishwasher is suppoossed to look like! You have to bring it to the next convention!!

Wow very nice...its amazing how fast that wash arm moves. And how much water is being sprayed thru that arm. Looks like a hurricane of water in there. Not sure on the color though...I would have done that in turquois green. But thats moi.

I don't know if you can patent your process, but...

I think I would run out and buy the first dishwasher that featured and window! So glad you did this. She is beautiful.

I wonder how long the lunkheads at GE, LG, Whirlpool, Miele and Asko are going to take to figure out that a window in the door is THE thing. With all those republican richies out there spending money like there's no tomorrow on kitchens and fixtures for outdo-ing the Joneses, windows, as we're seeing in washing machines, would skunk the competition.
