Hello All,
My Name is Scott and I am new to this site, this is my very first forum post. I can't wait to see everything this site has to offer as well as hear the input of other people like myself that enjoys vintage appliances. My first question is I have a KDC-14P and it is in very decent condition a few minor issues like a cracking door seal and sometimes it has a small drip underneath the motor. It works great and I enjoy using it!! My question is I would really like to restore this machine and it be in perfect condition, spick and span as they say, I have obtained a copy of the service manual but wanted to see what input you guys have. Where do I start? Do I retro fit new parts, can I order original parts? Any advice would be much appreciated just need some ideas to get the ball rolling. Thank you all! Have a great day!!

KA KDC-14P DW

Welcome To The Site Scott, As far as restoring a DW this old [ 1961-1964 ] it all depends on how big a project you want to get into.

Most parts for the DW are no longer available and if you take it all apart you might really open a can of worms.

Since it is still working I would probably just address the problems that it has one by one.

What ever you decide to do with this machine myself and many others are here to help you along with your project.

PS, I might have a set of SS front panels for this model that I have no use for if you want them.
