KItchenaid KDS-21 or KUD? Dishwasher

Don't know what type my dishwasher is, but I have always loved it but needs to go now because of major kitchen renovation. Not sure about the age, but it has to be at least 24 years. I don't want to just get rid of it so if anybody is interested in the whole dishwasher, inclusive upper and lower racks or would like it for parts just let me know. The dishwasher works still great. Couple of small dents on the front and a small scratch.

Life

Thats a hardly used dw! Plenty of life left! The feed tube on the upper rack is original with no pitting that i can see.

Are you sure you want to get rid of that? Have you used any new dw lately? Will not find any build quality (nor porcelain) like this!

Even if you were selling the house, the sheer tank like quality here cant be beat! Sure some younger folks may not know how to use a dial machine but id keep it even if it didnt match!

KA machines are my favorite so if you’re near NY I may be interested. Definitely don’t want to see these get tossed or ripped apart if possible.

kud23 and Atlanta GA

The serial number starts with KUD23
I live in Flowery Branch GA just north of Atlanta GA and yes the dishwasher is the best I have ever owned, but really does no longer fit in the design of the kitchen

I bought a used upper rack in 2019 as mine was too badly rusted. This one is still in good shape

It'll match the new kitchen fine if you get replacement stainless steel inserts for the door and access panel.

Donor Machines

Hi MJ,
I think most of us usually get replacement racks from donor machines that we come across or that some good folks on here offer up for others. I can probably help you with racks as I have some spares in colors I don’t need. How bad are the ones you have? Does color matter to you? Just message me and I’ll see if I can help you out.
