Kitchenaid KDS-21 Switch

Hello all, I found this site looking for information on my Kitchenaid KDS-21. We inherited it when we bought our 1985 home. We love how it cleans, I had just never bothered to research it. The actuator broke in half, is it worth gluing together or I found replacement part on Amazon.

You may be able to glue it ?, or of course replace it, we often just replaced this part with a screw and two nuts, that way it will never break again, older KA DWs used a steel pin that never broke.

Thank you. The screw sounds like a good idea. So basically something of the same width just needs to protrude the same distance...

Trick of the trade!

John, I have used the screw and nuts repair numerous times. Works like a charm.
