KitchenAid KDS Dishwasher

I am looking for a replacement detergent dispenser for a KitchedAid Supreba by Hobart Model Number KDS-17, Serial Number: 230026944. I don't have the original past number to search by. HELP!

That part is for KDC-17, but I think the dispenser is the same?

Using the newest part number

is the way to go if you are hell bent on getting a new dispenser and gasket. Earlier part numbers were not converted by sears and they were basically the same dispensers thru the years from the 17 thru the 23. Colors and door locations varried a bit. You should be able to use your old bimetal springs on the new part if they still work.

Dispenser is 9740171 84.14
gasket is 4171447 5.32

Both are priced from and available thru Sears.com/parts

Now that you have the numbers, you can search it out on various sites and vendors.

I have a few used ones if you decide to go that way.

I do have a white detergent dispenser without bimetals....P/N is 9740171. Brand new.

KDS-17 Detergent Dispenser

The Suprebas had two lids that open where the Customs only had one that had a cover, you can use it however and just do away with the pre-wash bi-metal. The white dispensers will not fit the 17s because of the molded flange on the later white dispensers will not fit in the well that is stamped in the door on the 17s.

Still Looking KDS Detergent Dispenser or Part no.

The Dispenser part 9740171 84.14 will not work on the KDS17. I have tried it. Still searching for the part or original part number.
