Hello all! After an illness, I am finally starting on a vintage KD2P. One problem is the hook up hoses are not in great shape. The drain is kind of "ok" but the fill hose needs to be replaced. I've taken the hoses in to two shops that make hydraulic hoses. They damned near laughed out loud, claiming they don't have the fittings. Are these fittings that special? Should I just put a new unicoupler on it? I'd really like to keep the good old chrome one, if possible. I appreciate any help. Thank you!!!

This a sweet little machine. I did not even clean the underside before pics! Doesn't look like it has seen much water!!!

The only problem I've found is the heating element. The connector on the element was such that it did not seat well onto the contact. So, it burnt up. My KDS-14 had a similar problem. I put a new spade terminal on BOTH as the other one was doing the same thing! Otherwise, it seems fine. I did a hot water test. The only leak I could find was the sump o-ring, and the drain pump o-ring. The carbon main pump seal seemed fine! Yay!!
