I had a request for pictures of this thing, referred to by some as the Pelican..

Cool Pelican head there.  I found one of these at a sale a long time ago but have never used it.  I only got a couple of blades with it, I've never seen the ice chopper blade before.  I should dig this out and play with it some, always grab the later plastic, cone type when shredding, etc.   I think I paid $5 for mine, when I got it home I looked it up on ebay and saw they were going for well over $100.

My Mom has one of those "Pelican" shredder attachments for her KA mixer-remember using it years ago to shred cabbage for coleslaw for a party.Was fun to use!remember going with her to pick up the attacment at the Hobart place in Wash DC!that place was so interesting!Think the device was meant to be used with the commercial KA mixers?It fits the residentual ones just fine.
