Water and Dry Heater in KA TL Portable DWs
I think that this was the first and only time that a real Hobart KA DW used an exposed dry heater and with the exception of the KDS-15 it was the only KA DW to have a MUCH needed water heater boost in this time period. I have this same DW in my kitchen and use it occasionally, it works great but I an too spoiled by the 1987 WP and hate cleaning out the messy filter in the KA portable.

I ended up buying it
But it needs a new lid seal as it has some potential for leakage running down the sides but otherwise packs that whoosh!

Leaking KA TL Portable DW
My KD-5 also leaks around the lid gasket and down the sides, I have not bothered to fix it yet, let us know if you come up with a clever solution John.
