Do you suppose these machines in the listing are built-in under a counter, or did they just manage to not include the tops of the machines in the pic? I was wondering if these were common units to build-in, and if so, would they probably lack that pretty backsplash like Robert's machines have?
I wondered the same thing - about the tops and being built in, it would be wise to contact the seller before bidding for better pictures so you know what to expect! That question aside, these are some of the most beautiful slant-fronts...
Oh don't worry, unless you roll the truck they will brace themselves. Chris knows all about what these things weigh---------------.
Congratulations on such a nice set. Those dryers were some of the best ever made.
Now, when I have been moving mine around, I have removed the weights that are bolted to the top of the tub. This makes the machine a whole lot lighter. They are pretty easy to get off if you have a socket set.
I've used some tie-downs to secure the snubber like things to the metal pad they sit on.
I also remove the panel in front and on top -- they pop right off. It would be a shame to put a dent in one or scratch it. I would wrap these in a towel or something and put them somewhere safe.
Best of luck to you in getting a boot retrofitted on it and getting it running again. Or better yet an original boot though those are hard to come by.
