Hi everyone. I just stumbled across this web site and am now an addict!I was about to send my old Lady K Dishwasher to the garbage, thinking no one but me would want to keep a 30 something year old dishwasher.
A broken wire made her stop draining, other than that everything works great.
She lights up like a Christmas tree when in use.
After seeing others passionate about their appliances, she is back in the house waiting for a repair man.
Just wondering if anyone could tell me how old she really is?
She was sold here in Canada through the Simpsons Sears Cat.
There is a Sears Roebuck sticker also.
The model # is 587-760710.
Thanks for anyone's help.
Brian

Thanks

After the insight I looked again at the serial #
In small #s are 0360445, in large #s are 1275.
I am going to assume then that the dishwasher came from the Sears Xmas cat. 1975.
that would be just about right.
I think I saw it performing after Xmas or when my uncle bought
bought it for my aunt for her birthday in late January.

Where in Ontario?

I live in a small town called Harriston,
Population, Family.
Actually it's not that bad, pop.2000. 2hrs from Toronto,
1hr from Kitchener.
Thats where I found Lady K, sitting in a snowy dark parking.
I almost pulled my spleen out trying to carry her up 6 stairs into my apartment

I've been thru/near Harriston shortcutting to the 400 to avoid Toronto, I'm in Sarnia and another avid collector on the vac site is in Stratford. Call if you're coming down this way.
