Today at Habitat there were lots of washers and dryers. Mostly newer Whirlpool pairs. But there was a nice TOL Kenmore dryer (possibly Lady Kenmore) that seemed to be from the early 90s era. It had a white console and there was a light over the timer dial. Too bad the matching washer was not with it.
My neighbor has a Kenmore pair that is similar but I don't think hers has the lighted dial.
My question is, did the dial light turn on with a switch or only when the dryer was running? I know the fluorescent lights had a separate switch.
