KM-D&M PORTABLE DISHWASHER
I don't think that is quite a Lady KM DW as it doesn't have enough buttons or lights, but we may never know as the cheap finish has been scrubbed of the control panel, LOL. D&M DWs never had very good quality when it came to finishes or parts in general, for all their electrical parts, motors, timers etc they had to rely on other companies to make them and it was pretty obvious that they always took the cheapest bidder.
Wes great stories about your fascination about disposers, when my younger brother Jeff and I were younger we used to ride our bikes down to an appliance dealer in town. We used to find the old disposers that had been replaced and I always loved taking them apart an analyzing how they were made and worked. Sometimes we found disposers that still worked and we would run them and grind up stuff in them. Once Jeff and I found an old Waste-King and we hooked it up in the back yard and connected the garden hose to the DW drain inlet and Jeff ground up leaves all afternoon. Jeff used a dryer lint screen to separate the ground leaves from the water flow and we ended up with a big pile of really nice finely ground mulch.
Wes I don't think there was ever a KM DW that had anything similarity with a real Tappan DW, it is true that Tappan and D&M both became part of W-WH but Tappans influence disappeared and certainly never showed up in any DW with the KM name on it.
