I recently posted some pics of my nearly new in box Lasko skillet, I have had several requests for more pictures , it really is a good design that works well, the base called the "Power Pack" has a flat spring loaded plate, under which is the heating element and thermostatic control, the pan has a hook in the front, and a latch plate thing in the rear, you hook the front hook into the slot on the base, then the latch plate is pressed down into a slot in the base near the control dial, when you want to wash it, there is a thumb operated release lever, also near the control dial, just press it and lift the pan off.
